Day 1

Arrive Vancouver
Upon arrival into Vancouver transfer (own cost) to your hotel. The day is yours to discover the coastal city of Vancouver.
Day 2 Free Day in Vancouver
Today enjoy everything Vancouver has to offer such as the world famous 400-hectare Stanley Park, historic Gastown or wander around the markets at Granville Island. Whisk yourself to the top of Grouse Mountain or make your way across the scenic Capilano Suspension Bridge - so much to see!
Day 3 Rocky Mountaineer: Vancouver to Kamloops
Just minutes from downtown Vancouver board the Rocky Mountaineer train. Pass through the rich fields of the Fraser River Valley and the towering peaks of the Coastal Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Follow the Thompson River through spectacular landscapes to historic Kamloops.
Day 4 Rocky Mountaineer: Kamloops to Jasper
Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus to the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields. Pass by Mount Robson, which at 3954 meters is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
Upon arrival into Jasper, collect your rental vehicle (not included) and proceed to your selected hotel.
Day 5 Jasper Downtown Foodie Tour
Explore this charming mountain village which is close to many terrific scenic highlights. Take a tram ride up Whistlers Mountain, or visit Maligne Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world, and enjoy a 90-minute cruise heading toward the south end of this postcard setting (not included). You will marvel at the magnificent shoreline with dense forest and glacial peaks rising abruptly from the water’s edge. Stopping at Spirit Island, you will have the opportunity to take your own version of the world-famous photograph of the lake.
In the afternoon, join the Downtown Foodie Tour to discover the best local dishes Jasper has to offer. Over the course of a short guided 1.5km walk you will visit four restaurants and taste four carefully handpicked dishes, each paired with an alcoholic beverage. Along the way you will learn about Jasper's history and take in some of the town's best tales.
Day 6 Jasper to Banff
View a never-ending procession of mammoth mountains, jagged peaks, over 100 glaciers and pristine emerald coloured lakes. Along the way see such sights as the Columbia Icefield and take an Ice Explorer ride out onto the glacier (included). Also watch for the Sarbach Glacier, Bow Lake, with the Bow Glacier providing the backdrop, and Crowfoot Glacier before your arrival into Lake Louise. From Lake Louise choose the Bow Valley Parkway, beside the Bow River with an option for you to take a stop at Johnston Canyon and walk along the paved footpath to either the lower or upper waterfalls before continuing to Banff.
Day 7 Banff Sightseeing (Banff Gondola)
A full day to explore Banff. Check out the Cave and Basin National Historic Site (not included) and Banff Gondola (included) where you will see a panoramic view of the Bow Valley, and then take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs (included).
Day 8 Banff to Vernon
Your journey today takes you through some of the most spectacular stretches of highway in Canada. Travel through Yoho National Park, filled with gem coloured glacial lakes and waterfalls, snow-covered peaks, and dense forests of western red cedar and western hemlock. A short drive beyond Revelstoke you will find Craigellachie, where the 'last spike' was driven in, completing the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885. Continue through the Shuswap region to the town of Vernon, in the fertile Okanagan Valley renowned for its wineries & orchards.
Day 9 Full Day Wine Tour
Today, embark on a full day wine tasting tour that takes you on a relaxing and scenic drive along the north bench to Lake Country. This fun, informative day includes 20-25 small tastings at five wineries in Lake Country, and a full lunch.
Day 10 Vernon to Vancouver
An amazing trip awaits you today, from Vernon to Vancouver. Travel via the Okanagan Connector to the Coquihalla Highway. Along the way stop at any of the roadside stalls offering cherries, apples, apricots, pears, peaches, grapes and plums for sale during the long summer days. Turning onto the Coquihalla Highway climb to an elevation of 1244 metres where over 10 metres of snow can fall in an average winter. You will witness incredible feats of engineering as you travel through the Great Bear snow shed, crossing the Dry Gulch Bridge (over 280 metres long and 175 metres high). Begin descending from the summit pass through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the province. This dramatic change of environment is always exhilarating, as you go from bright sunlight on the high rock faces to misty coastal cedars and tall firs in half an hour. Approaching the Pacific Coast, the canyon opens into the broad, fertile Fraser Valley. Continue to the coastal city of Vancouver.
Day 11 Depart Vancouver
Your vacation ends upon check out from your hotel.
